Workshop on Creative Discipline and the Young Child
Saturday 10th June 2017, 10.30am-3.30pm
Wouldn’t it be wonderful
if children came with an instruction manual when they were born! In a way they do, except it isn’t a hard-back copy that exists in
the physical world but rather one that already exists deep within each parent. This half-day workshop on Creative Discipline is designed
to enable parents and care workers to access their own unique “Inner book” which is full of wisdom, creativity and knowing. Along
with the help of a few creative props (puppetry, story-telling, imagery), we will spend the day exploring our own “Inner Books” and

Workshop on 'The Art of Communication: how to get your child
to hear what you say'
Saturday 11th February 2017, 10.30am-1.30pm.
Communicating with the young child (0-7 yrs.) is a very different
experience from communicating with an adult. The young child still lives in a world full of wonder and awe, where the universe is
still brim-full of potential. The gestures and words (i.e. verbal and non-verbal language) we use with the young child need to resonate
with this magical world. When they do our encounter with the child is enriched and many of the “problems” parents commonly refer to
are avoided. So if you have ever wondered how to get your child to listen to you this is the workshop for you. This half-day workshop
will be led by Sinead Uí Thiarnaigh, a Steiner Kindergarten teacher and parent of many years’ experience.
