The confidence instilled in children by the natural, rounded and enjoyable approach to education provided by Steiner
Waldorf schools stands them in very good stead when they make the transition to the Second Level education. Secondary school
teachers have consistently commented that children educated according to the Steiner Waldorf educational philosophy are independent
and creative learners who have developed their natural love of discovery and exploration.
For those who choose to complete their
educational journey with the Kildare Steiner Waldorf School at the end of Class 6, they can be confident that their time here will
have prepared them well for the challenges of second-level education.
The school does not currently offer a secondary programme
but we are a recognised feeder school for the Cross & Passion College secondary school in Kilcullen.
The Kildare Steiner Waldorf School is a member of the Steiner Waldorf Schools Fellowship of UK and Ireland. The Fellowship represents
31 schools in the UK and Ireland and co-ordinates Steiner curriculum research and development, supports teacher training programmes,
and provides advisory and mentoring services to member schools. The Fellowship is part of the international European Council for Steiner
Waldorf Education (ECSWE) comprising 26 national Steiner Waldorf Associations, representing over 680 schools across Europe.
The
Kildare Steiner Waldorf School is a registered charity (CHY14243) and is an approved provider under the Department of Children
and Youth Affairs' Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Scheme.
